on the front page of the San Francisco Chronicle.
I was in Sacramento on Action Day, May 25, 2005,
protesting Arnold’s agenda
along with teachers, nurses,
law enforcement officials,
firefighters and service workers
who came by the bus load
to have a word with Arnold.
The teachers wore t-shirts that said,
“Cuts in education never heal.”
The nurses had heart buttons that said,
“Patients are my special interest.”
And signs, “Hands off patient ratios!”
“Firefighters don’t back down!”
“Keep your paws off our pensions!”
The police, on their horses
posed for pictures with the protesters.
